As I walked towards my new client I shook her hand and showed her to my station. She expressed concern because she had significant hair loss. Her hair was dark and long and I could tell by the expression on her face that she needed help. She took out her hair clip and said "This is how I wear it every day. I just don't know what else to do with it." As we went through her consultation she let me know that she was leaving her hair in my hands and she was willing to do anything to make herself look better. We conversed abot her life, her job, her family. In that hour and a half I got to know so much about her.

I gave her a blunt cut and lightened up her hair. Through the process I told her I'd let her see herself after her blow dry and style.

As she looked at her reflection in disbelief, her eyes lit up with happy tears. At that moment, I knew I was in the right place. How amazing it is to change peoples lives, how amazing it is to be able to make someone feel so special! What a rewarding carreer!!

Today one of my good friends came in wanting to be a level 6 with a carmel golden tone and she was a level 1. Because she had very kinky curly coarse hair and it had been previously colored black we decided to use a new technique Judi the salon owner had made up using her creativity! We used majilift on the new growth and we applied the bleach with no brush or bottle, strictly our hands! We crunch curled the lightener in her hair giving it the dimensional effect. After the toner her hair turned out amazing and exactly what she was wanting. The application process was so quick it subtracted our time in half and came out better then applying with a brush for the look she was wanting to accomplish. It was so much fun trying something new and broadening my education and learning different ways you can apply lightener to the hair. All in all it was a good expierence and my client was surprised such a beautiful result can happen with what she came in looking like.

A friend of mine went to a local salon with a good reputation and had her hair cut by the owner. Unfortunately, the cut was very uneven and choppy and when she returned the next day, the manager immediately refunded her money upon seeing the haircut. Her husband encouraged to come to me and I was able to clean up and reshape the cut into something stylish and wearable, while also allowing her to have a low-maintenance style. (Since she is a mom of young children, efficiency and low-maintenance are key components when getting ready in the morning!) She left our salon feeling refreshed and attended a party later that evening and received many compliments on her new hairstyle! She and her husband both love the new cut and she loves how easy it is for her to get ready each morning. I love that Z Hair Academy has given me the training and ability to provide an excellent service and make my clients feel great about themselves!

I got a client today that would be any hairstylists dream! She came in and wanted something young, wild, and new. It was so much fun and working together we came up with the perfect cut, color, and makeup application that was everything she wanted! She came in with strawberry blonde hair wanting to cover grays and remove a lot of excess bulk. She left with a warm brown auburn base color and all over red and carmel hilights with a sassy and "piecey" short graduation cut. We were so excited about her transformation we decided to move onto a light makeup application good for everyday. I shared lots of styling and cosmetic techniques that she can use day to day. It was so much fun making her look on the outside, like she felt on the inside:)

Today was a really good day. A girl came in after she had gone to a salon to get her hair done. It didn't turn out how she wanted at all, and she came to me to fix it. Because of all the red in her hair, this was a challenging color correction. After a long, thought out color formulation we finally accomplished something great for her. We did a heavy hilight and lowlight on top and completely covered the red chunks with a rich brown. When she left, she was so happy that she had come in. I felt accomplished and proud that I could take something she hated and turn it into something she loved.
