Surface is a company dedicated to providing natural, safe, and effective hair products that aren’t harmful to the client, the stylist, or the environment. They specialize in creating products that use natural ingredients to nurture and strengthen hair.
Since its inception by international hairstylist, Wayne Grund, in 2008, Surface has remained committed to helping their customers succeed and staying ahead of hair trends. That commitment led them to host the first annual Surface Hair Global Forum in Las Vegas October 26-27, 2019. The goal of the Forum was to Educate, Innovate, and Inspire the more than 700 hairstylists in attendance.
Feeling Energized
Nine Z Hair Academy and Salon.Z staff members and stylists attended the two-day event. We attended 12 presentations by Surface’s expert staff showcasing their new products as well as upcoming trends in hairstyling and hair coloring. Wayne shared many personal accounts and insightful moments about the direction of the company. We enjoyed all the presentations but we particularly loved Surface’s Regional Director of Sales & Education, Sean Carlson.
“Sean was the life of the party,” said Z Hair Academy co-founder, Judi McKenzie. “His energy is contagious, his presentations explained what was going in the industry, and his passion is unmatched!”
Overall, we loved attending the Surface Hair Global Forum and had a great time in Las Vegas! We came home feeling energized about the future of our industry.
