Why did you choose to attend Z Hair Academy?

I chose the Z Hair Academy cosmetology school in Overland Park because as soon as I walked in for my tour, I could tell that it was a great environment, and every one of the girls looked like they loved what they were doing!
Where do you currently work?

After graduating in July, I started as an assistant with a stylist at Artistry by LB in the River Market. I am formulating and toning, shadow rooting, shampooing and blow drying, and occasionally foiling alongside her!
What advice would you give to a new student?

Show up and make every day a good day. 1,500 hours go by fast. Be positive and kind to others; it will make your time in school much more enjoyable.
How has Z Hair Academy helped further your career?

Z Hair Academy has outstanding educators who prepare you to go out into the work world and feel confident doing so!
What do you do in your spare time?

In my spare time, you can find me with my nieces, at the gym, or trying new restaurants in downtown Kansas City or The Market!
What is your favorite hair product?

My current favorite hair product is Zig Zag Root Teasing and Texture Spray from R&Co! It smells AMAZING.
What do you wish you knew when you were a student?

You’re not going to be perfect doing something the first time! Practice, practice, practice. This is also your time to try new things!
